Aussie YA Book Challenge 2011

I don't know a lot about Australian Authors, but I do love Melina Marchetta - one of the best authors ever! - and I feel like I need more Aussie YA books in my life. So I decided to join the Aussie YA Book Challenge 2011.

Nic (Irresistible Reads) and Nomes (inkcrush) put together this challenge as follows:

Australian participants - Read at least 12 young adult books by Australian authors from 1st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2011.

International participants - Read at least 6 young adult books by Australian authors from 1st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2011.

They can be old or new titles, however no re-reads.

It is open to everyone. You don’t have to be a blogger but you MUST POST A REVIEW. Reviews can be posted anywhere - Blogs, Goodreads, Shelfari or non-bloggers can even do a guest post on a blog like mine.

You can join anytime. The challenge runs from 1st January 2011 to 31st December, 2011.

There will be prizes throughout the year and guest posts and interviews from some awesome Aussie authors. (There is also a giveaway going on if you sing up before Dec 25th, check it out by clicking on the image above)

Since I'm outside Australia, I'm going to try to do 6, maybe more.
I know FOR SURE, that I'm going to read The Piper's Son (as soon as it comes out in the US and I can get my paws on it).
I'm checking out my library tomorrow to see if they got anything else by Aussie authors.
